The Wilde Family

Anne Wilde married John Edwards from New House, Cwmdeuddwr in 1861 and was the mother of Charles Edwards. 

1851 – John Wilde was a farmer who came from Llandegley in Radnorshire. He was farming near to Llandrindod Wells, Radnorshire with his wife Joan and 4 children, one of whom was Anne who was 7.1861 – John and Joan were farming another farm of 120 acres, near to Llandrindod. They had 5 children including Anne who was 17.

1861 – Ann married John Edwards. She was said to be 19 on the marriage certificate. 

1871 – Anne was now living at New House farm and has 5 children including Charles who was 4. John’s brother Evan also lived with them and they farmed jointly.

Ann went on to have 9 children and moved with John and the family to Llanfair Hall in Shropshire and then Dewsall Court in Herefordshire.
